Account & Contact Information: name, company, email (and optional role/title).
Payment & Billing Metadata: subscription plan, invoices, refunds, limited payment metadata from our payment processor (e.g., card brand/last4, expiration). We do not store full card numbers.
Usage & Device Data: IP address, device/OS, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referral/UTM data, and diagnostic logs.
Content You Provide: design briefs, instructions, messages, approvals, and uploaded brand assets (logos, fonts, images).
Marketing Preferences: newsletter/marketing opt-in status.
We do not intentionally collect government IDs, precise geolocation, or other sensitive categories not necessary for design services.
2. How We Use Information

Provide, operate, and support the Services (including request intake, design work, client communications, and support).
Process subscriptions, billing, refunds, fraud prevention, and charge disputes.

5. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers. Stripe’s handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy and PCI-DSS requirements.
6. International Transfers
We process data in the United States. If we transfer personal information from the EEA/UK to other countries, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where applicable and require processors to protect the data.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business or legal purposes:
Account & transactional records: while your account is active and then for a reasonable period (typically up to 24 months) for support and record keeping.
Tax/financial records: retained for 7 years (or as required by law).
Design files/briefs: while your account is active and up to 12–24 months after closure, unless you request earlier deletion.
We may retain data longer where required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Global rights. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time and may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@designcloth.co. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may deny requests where an exception applies (e.g., legal obligations).
EEA/UK users. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing; and where processing is based on consent, to withdraw consent at any time. We will respond within 30 days.

12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
